27/05/2026 The impact of tailored music design Have you ever stepped into a store or restaurant and been met by complete silence? Then you know how a quiet space can easily feel empty, stiff and out of balance. Music design is about more than just filling that silence. An upbeat tempo in a calm environment can create stress. Soft, slow beats in a more vibrant space can drain the energy. Often, it impacts our behaviour unconsciously – but sometimes, it’s painfully obvious. However, when the music feels just right, it becomes a natural part of the overall experience. It blends seamlessly into the space, complements the atmosphere and elevates the brand. You might not even notice how you’re nodding to the beat or tapping your foot. And when you leave, you do so with a pleasant feeling – without stress or conflicting impressions. So how do you make sure the right music plays at the right time, in the right space? Translating a brand voice and identity into a soundscape is what we do. Sometimes it’s about enhancing what’s already there, matching the music with the space and its natural rhythm. Other times, it’s about breaking the pattern and creating contrast. Taking guests, customers and staff into account, always with one goal in mind: to enhance the space and build an experience that feels real. Read more about our music service
29/04/2026 Stockholm Music Week 2026 As the leading in-store music partner for brands in the Nordics, staying close to the music industry is key. Last week marked the premiere of Stockholm Music Week, a new international meeting place for people in the business. Our music team was there to get inspired, connect and unleash creativity – staying in tune with what’s shaping the music landscape in Sweden and globally. The half-day conference focused on “The Value of Music.” With speakers covering subjects such as streaming, Sweden’s musical trade and its place in the global market, copyright, and the soft power of music, the day explored multiple themes – all culminating in the fundamental questions: what is the value of music, and who captures it? https://royalstreaming.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/Sthlm-music-week.mp4 More info on Stockholm Music Week 2026
04/03/2026 Winner of Guldnoten 2025 Congratulations to our client Hotel Fratelli, who was just awarded SAMI’s prestigious Guldnoten – a recognition given to businesses that use music in a strategic, sustainable and forward-thinking way. “Curating the sound for Hotel Fratelli meant getting in the headspace of being in a Mediterranean oasis, where the music flows seamlessly between the hotel’s different zones. With clear influences from Italy and France, the soundscape enhances the atmosphere and sets the tone throughout the entire hotel. I’m incredibly proud to have been part of shaping this unique concept” — Lisa Ågren, Music Designer at Royal Streaming. Hotel Fratelli received Guldnoten 2025 for playfully and thoughtfully integrating music as a natural and identity-defining part of the business. With the help of our carefully curated playlists infused with Southern European warmth, the Fratelli spirit moves effortlessly throughout the hotel – meeting guests in every space. The music doesn’t just complement the atmosphere; it elevates it, creating a welcoming environment for both guests and staff. “We are truly happy and proud to receive Guldnoten. 05/02/2026 Guldnoten 2025 Together with two of our clients, DRM-LND and Hotel Fratelli, we’ve once again proven that the right music, at the right time, truly matters. Each year, Sami (Svenska Artisters och Musikers Intresseorganisation) presents their award “Guldnoten”, which celebrates businesses that use music in a creative and engaging way. For the music-year of 2025, among many nominees, we’re proud to provide the music for two out of the three finalists. Hotel Fratelli is an oasis in the middle of Karlstad. With a Mediterranean-inspired core throughout, the music reflects the warm atmosphere perfectly. From the minute you step into the lobby, to the spa or restaurant visit – the music is like a breath of fresh Italian and French air, playing a central role in every zone at Hotel Fratelli. The core of DRM-LND is creativity. To complement their vibrant and expressive atmosphere, their music varies from new releases to older hits – always with a finger on the pulse of what their audience appreciates. Through that musical recognition, the shop environment truly benefits from a 100% tailored music curation.
21/01/2026 Royal Resolutions – Embracing a fresh start “New Year – New Me” might be a corny cliché, but nevertheless it’s an opportunity to motivate yourself and start fresh. The benefits of working out are countless: better sleep, mindset, energy and more! A recipe for a successful day. Wether or not it’s true that it takes 21 days to form a new habit, you might already have it down by now, we believe that music help keep that routine going. And we’re not the only ones: Research shows that music plays an important part in your workout success. The right music for you shifts focus away from physical discomfort and can reduce perceived exertion by up to 10%, making you sustain an activity longer. Studies have also shown that matching your movement to a fitting beat can help you workout more efficiently. Andrew Danso, postdoctoral researcher in Music Therapy, says: “Faster-tempo music (120–140 BPM) is particularly effective for improving endurance in both aerobic and strength-based activities. A study found that individuals who exercised while listening to their preferred music worked at a higher intensity while still maintaining a ‘good’ feeling. Furthermore, they recalled their workout as significantly more pleasurable than those who exercised without music.” We think it’s important to take care of our bodies and minds – and each other! So, apart from the obvious benefits of exercise, joint training is great for team building and an amazing way to keep motivation high and that New Years resolution going! It’s no suprise that we think music plays an important part in a workout routine. At Royal Streaming we work out together every friday, a perfect way to end a work week and to kick the weekend off right. So, grab a friend, colleague or just a pair of headphones and join us in matching that newfound, new year’s, energy with great music.
