Nominations for award

Since 2002, Swedish music rights organisation Stim has celebrated businesses that use music in an exemplary way – not only to enhance customer experiences but also to ensure that creators are fairly compensated for their work. Previous winners include McDonald’s and IKEA, as well as some of our own clients such as Max and Scandic Hotels.

This year, two of our clients – Lyko and Naturkompaniet – are among the five nominees, highlighting how well-curated background music in-store can create both memorable experiences and added value.

Lyko describes our collaboration like this:

From festival to playlist

For us, music is more than just background – it’s a strategic asset that shapes atmosphere, builds brand identity and influences customer behavior. But to create playlists that feel relevant, inspiring and unique, we constantly need to gather new impressions.

Earlier in August, several of our music designers visited Way Out West in Gothenburg – a festival known for its wide range of genres and its boldness in showcasing both established names and future stars. Here, it’s not just about enjoying great performances, but about collecting inspiration, emotions and musical ideas that can be translated into our clients’ environments.

At the festival, you move between stages, sound levels and moods – from intimate acoustic sets to pulsating electronic performances. It’s exactly this type of contrast that allows us to create dynamic music schedules that follow the customer’s daily rhythm and the brand’s tone of voice.

When we left the festival, we took away more than just the memory of great concerts. We came back with new references, fresh energy and a library of musical impressions – ready to be transformed into playlists that strengthen brands, whether it’s in a store, a hotel or a restaurant.

Fastest-growing songwriter

Our colleague Johan Ahlmark named as one of Sweden’s fastest-growing songwriters

We’re proud to share that our colleague Johan has been recognised as one of Sweden’s fastest-growing songwriters by Stim – the Swedish Performing Rights Society. This award goes to songwriters in Sweden who’ve seen a big jump in their royalties over the past year.

Johan, an important member of our sales team, plays a key role in shaping sound identities for many of our clients. Outside of his work with us, he’s been building an impressive songwriting career – recently more than doubling his royalty income, which earned him this national recognition.

“Bad at bragging, brilliant at writing music,” as Stim puts it in their Instagram post. We couldn’t agree more. Congratulations Johan! And thank you for bringing your talent, taste and energy to everything you do.

We’ve always believed in the power of music. Now, we’re taking the next step. With a refreshed visual identity, we’re clarifying our direction – a more modern, tech-driven expression that strengthens our brand and reflects our role as a pioneer in music design.

 

A new look, same passion
Our logo still carries the same visual legacy – a symbol that merges speaker and crown – now reimagined with a cleaner, more contemporary design. Together with a bold new colour palette and an updated visual language, we highlight what defines us: our passion for music, our ambition and our ability to create rhythm. All in line with our promise: Bringing brands to life.

More than just a new look
Music is more than background – it shapes emotion, defines experience and strengthens brand identity. Our new visual identity helps us communicate how we use music to create atmosphere and drive business. A key part of the update is our new graphic illustrations, where people, music and space intersect in ever-shifting forms – capturing the essence of what we do: designing sound environments where brands grow and people feel good.

Granit wins award

We’re proud to share that our customer Granit has been awarded Guldnoten 2024, the prestigious industry award from SAMI, recognizing businesses that use music in an innovative and engaging way.

Over the past year, we have worked closely with Granit to shape a tailored music concept that enhances their brand identity and customer experience. Together, we’ve introduced a commercial music solution, designed a distinctive two-part music profile, and provided curated soundscapes for store events and openings.

Guldnoten is presented by SAMI (The Swedish Artists’ and Musicians’ Interest Organisation), which ensures that artists and musicians receive compensation when their music is played in public.
