ICEHOTEL

Background
Seventeen kilometers east of Kiruna, in Jukkasjärvi, stands a hotel unlike any other. Since 1989, ICEHOTEL has been reborn each winter, a living art installation that melts back into the Torne River come spring. To reflect its harmony between art, nature, and creativity, a tailored music profile was essential.

Sound
We designed three soundscapes, each capturing a unique facet of the ICEHOTEL experience. The main restaurant blends Scandinavian acoustic elegance with hints of jazz, soul and Americana. At Hembygdsgården, warm indie tones and Swedish voices evoke comfort and familiarity. In the ICEBAR, cinematic beats and atmospheric textures mirror the icy artistry of its surroundings.
