With a wide customer base and stores in both inner cities as well as smaller communities, Kappahl needed a music identity that could resonate across generations. A sound that resonates with the brand’s core values and exudes warmth, joy and inspiration. The challenge was to create an in-store music experience that stood out without overpowering – music that could be heard and appreciated but never distract. Sound We developed a sound that reflect their approachable and timeless style. Inspired by the brands simplicity and quality, we curated a music profile that not only blends well with the stores atmosphere but complements it. Genres like modern soul, pop, and soft RnB provide the foundation and a dynamic flow of tempo throughout the day makes the channel inspiring and fun. Result With a broad spectrum of customers, we still wanted to give a special nod to Kappahl’s core shopper – the woman in the middle of life, often shopping for both herself and her family.
