Our colleague Johan Ahlmark named as one of Sweden’s fastest-growing songwriters

We’re proud to share that our colleague Johan has been recognised as one of Sweden’s fastest-growing songwriters by Stim – the Swedish Performing Rights Society. This award goes to songwriters in Sweden who’ve seen a big jump in their royalties over the past year.

Johan, an important member of our sales team, plays a key role in shaping sound identities for many of our clients. Outside of his work with us, he’s been building an impressive songwriting career – recently more than doubling his royalty income, which earned him this national recognition.

“Bad at bragging, brilliant at writing music,” as Stim puts it in their Instagram post. We couldn’t agree more. Congratulations Johan! And thank you for bringing your talent, taste and energy to everything you do.

New visual identity

We’ve always believed in the power of music. Now, we’re taking the next step. With a refreshed visual identity, we’re clarifying our direction – a more modern, tech-driven expression that strengthens our brand and reflects our role as a pioneer in music design.

Our logo still carries the same visual legacy – a symbol that merges speaker and crown – now reimagined with a cleaner, more contemporary design. Together with a bold new colour palette and an updated visual language, we highlight what defines us: our passion for music, our ambition and our ability to create rhythm. All in line with our promise: Bringing brands to life.

More than just a new look
Music is more than background – it shapes emotion, defines experience and strengthens brand identity. Our new visual identity helps us communicate how we use music to create atmosphere and drive business. Granit wins award

We’re proud to share that our customer Granit has been awarded Guldnoten 2024, the prestigious industry award from SAMI, recognizing businesses that use music in an innovative and engaging way.

Over the past year, we have worked closely with Granit to shape a tailored music concept that enhances their brand identity and customer experience. Together, we’ve introduced a commercial music solution, designed a distinctive two-part music profile, and provided curated soundscapes for store events and openings.

Guldnoten is presented by SAMI (The Swedish Artists’ and Musicians’ Interest Organisation), which ensures that artists and musicians receive compensation when their music is played in public.

New acquisition

Royal Streaming acquires Music in Brands and FitnessPlayer

Royal Streaming, a SaaS company based in Uppsala with several years of profitable growth, is strengthening its position in the Scandinavian market through the acquisition of Music in Brands and FitnessPlayer. The acquisition includes both companies, founded by Anders Ekström, and is a strategic move to expand Royal Streaming’s offering in brand-adapted music services for businesses.

“We’re thrilled about this and warmly welcome both Music in Brands and FitnessPlayer to our family,” says Gustav Nordlindh, CEO and founder of Royal Streaming. “Together with our new owners, Pamir, we have clear growth ambitions, and this acquisition is fully aligned with our strategy. In the coming years, we plan to make additional acquisitions in the Nordics, and we’re very optimistic about the future.”

“It feels like the right step for Music in Brands and FitnessPlayer to become part of Royal Streaming. I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve built together, and with a larger organisation behind us, we’ll be able to offer even more innovative solutions to our customers – while also strengthening our position within the fitness segment,” says Anders Ekström, who will continue as CEO of FitnessPlayer.

The acquisition was finalised before the summer of 2024, and Music in Brands has already been integrated into the Royal Streaming organisation. FitnessPlayer will, for now, continue to operate as a separate entity under the leadership of Anders Ekström, with support from the Royal Streaming team.

It’s important that I stay up to date with the latest hits and trend essentials, knowing the younger crowd and capturing the brand essence whilst catering to a broad audience. Having worked as a makeup artist for over 15 years and countless hours spent on the floor selling makeup, I know just how the right tunes can lift your mood and help you connect with customers. Because of my knowledge and interest in makeup, beauty and music – I feel very comfortable combining those when curating Lyko’s sound. It’s all about creating an environment where both staff and customers can relax, have fun and connect”.
