”I’ve been producing tailored music for CHIMI’s campaigns for many years which has given me a great relationship with, and understanding of, the brand voice. When coming up with a concept for their in-store music I wanted to create a sound that feels playful, bold, and different. Music that captures the creative and expressive culture that CHIMI is known for” says Jesper Nicklasson, music designer. ”Their music features a lot of lesser-known, more experimental artists, dry 80’s sounding drums and modern yet alternative melodies. It’s a challenging concept because the music is quite niche and requires some digging to find – but that’s what makes it so much fun as well.” 

In a world where fashion and music have become inseparable, CHIMI has found new and interesting ways to thrive in that intersection. In 2020, by having the Swedish composer Jacob Muhlrad create the ”CHIMI Symphony”. In 2023 by teaming up with Yung Lean and Koenigsegg for a collaborative campaign and now, in 2024, by asking Royal Streaming to create an exciting concept for their New York store. Jesper continues;” I can’t say too much about the New York in-store music yet, but imagine entering a titanium spaceship”.
