Get To Know: Viktor & Sandra

Moving on with our introductions! Say hello to Viktor and Sandra, two of our music designers.

Viktor Olsson has worked at Royal Streaming for nearly 5 years. Being born in Stockholm but raised in Falun, he has now landed back in the capital. After getting his first drum set at age 3, he’s played ever since – mainly with his band Marigold but also as a studio and live musician. Sandra Leto is a born and raised Uppsala superstar. She has worked at Royal Streaming for nearly 9 years and has a long background as a dancer, dance teacher, freelancing DJ and music artist.

🖤 Viktor, you’re a star-quality drummer. What’s the coolest gig you’ve played?
“Haha, I wouldn’t say ”star”, but the craziest and coolest gig has to be one we did in Austin, Texas. The place was called Iron Bear, and it was an amazingly fun gay club. Also, the Peace & Love festival on home ground is an honorable mention.”

🖤 Sandra, you’re a real multi-talent. What has been your favorite project so far?
“Definitely running my own café IRIE, a small reggae joint in the City Park in Uppsala. It had always been a dream, it felt huge and immensely satisfying to check that off. “

Now, 3 quick questions!

🖤 All-time favorite artist?
– Viktor: It has to be Kent, they’ve been with me forever. The best song? ”Den döda vinkeln”
– Sandra: Michael Jackson. He has been with me since early childhood and is still a “go-to”. Favorite song? Nearly impossible to choose one but “Man In The Mirror” and the albums Off The Wall or Dangerous.

🖤 Most niche client projects you’ve worked on?
– Viktor: Definitely the channel I created for a hotel recently – exclusively Japanese Jazz music. Very challenging to navigate – but a cool sound!
– Sandra: Working with J. Lindeberg, because of how we adjust the in-store music to different collections – always exciting!

🖤 Who do you wish would release new music this year?
– Viktor: Kent, of course. But if we’re being realistic, either Nicole Sabouné or Solen.
– Sandra: Hmm, I don’t have any particular artist, but in general just more happy and good hip hop, the kind you can dance to!
